Take Me Somewhere 2025: 15 - 26 OCTOBER
Take your place at our table…
This year, Take Me Somewhere invites audiences to the table: a place of reckoning, of ritual, of radical becoming.
Whether gathering at a communal feast, facing the monstrous within, or standing in the fire of ambition and desire, our first show announcements explore what it means to want more.
Take Me Somewhere 2025 will take place from 15 - 26 October in venues across Glasgow.
full festival programme lands 29 July
Exxy
Dan Daw (uk/Australia)
An epic and tender new performance interrogating imposter syndrome, crip-queer desire and working-class ambition. Created by acclaimed Australian artist Dan Daw, EXXY marks a bold new chapter in Daw’s ongoing exploration of risk, intimacy and representation.
Featuring an all-disabled cast, including performers selected through auditions held in Glasgow, EXXY takes us on a journey with Dan as he finds comfort in the possibility of finally blending in, after a lifetime of standing out.
The Last Supper
MEXA (brazil)
MEXA’s The Last Supper is an intimate, immersive banquet-performance inspired by Da Vinci’s iconic image.
Formed in response to gender-based violence in São Paulo’s shelters for homeless people, collective MEXA bring us a shared banquet informed by the lived experiences of the collective. The performance, set around a long table shared by cast and audience, confronts legacies of faith, family and survival with joy, beauty and defiance.
FRANK
Cherish Menzo (the Netherlands / Belgium)
The UK premiere of FRANK is the latest genre-defying work from acclaimed choreographer Cherish Menzo. FRANK is a high-intensity, large-scale visual and sonic experience that confronts monstrosity, horror and the distorted human form.
