This page has detailed information about access provisions across our programme and venue access information.

Access Key
Our Access Key identifies any access provisions that are in place for performances or events in our programme. These are represented by symbols and letters that can be found on show pages, programme and posters.
BSL | BSL Interpreted:
Performances will be interpreted by British Sign Language interpreters. Show pages will detail creative integration of BSL or recommended sight lines.
CC | Captioned:
Captions express all spoken text and descriptions of background sounds that inform the action onstage. Unless otherwise stated, captions express all text spoken, and any descriptions of background sound that informs the action onstage.
R | Relaxed:
*These shows have some elements of a Relaxed Performance but may not be Fully Relaxed performances.
Relaxed Performances adapt or soften some of the social ‘norms’ and sensory experiences of the theatre to make them more welcoming to audiences, including neurodivergent and learning disabled people.
SP | Subpacs:
Subpacs will be available for the performance. Subpacs are wearable vests that convert sound and bass into vibrations. 2-3 Subpacs are available per show and can be reserved via Tramway Box Office, or collected on entry to the performance.
AD | Audio Description:
This show has Audio Description available. Audio description (AD) is additional commentary that explains what's visually happening on stage. Also known as visual description, AD describes body language, expressions and movements, making the programme clear through sound.
AD will either be integrated into the performance for everyone, or delivered via headsets which can be collected from the box office. Details can be found on each show page.
V | Visual:
Work that is highly visual with minimal or no text.
S | Sound Based:
Work that is primarily sound-based, such as audio works, gigs, or text-based performances.
TT | Touch Tour:
A touch tour will be available. A Touch Tour is catered towards visually impaired audiences so they can have access to the set, costumes, or performers of a production, prior to the show. Performance specific info will be provided on the show page.
Relaxed*
For Take Me Somewhere, all shows marked as Relaxed* have some elements of a Relaxed Performance but may not be Fully Relaxed performances. As a standard, at shows marked Relaxed* you can expect:

Audiences are welcome to move, tic, stim or make noise
Details of additional measures for Relaxed Performances can be found on each show page.
