Take Me Somewhere x Tramway Graduate Residencies
Take Me Somewhere and Tramway are pleased to offer our 2026 Graduate Residencies to Bishop May Down and Emma Lewis-Jones to develop Insistence: A Butch Ballet, and to Amy Clark and Noa Ferder to develop That’s It. at Tramway Studio space. This is a collaborative programme between both organisations, providing graduating artists funded rehearsal space and mentoring sessions with the Take Me Somewhere team.
Bishop May Down and Emma Lewis-Jones
Bishop May Down is a performance maker and facilitator based in Glasgow and Emma Lewis-Jones is an artist and facilitator working across installation and performance.
Bishop May Down and Emma Lewis-Jones are using the residency for the initial research and development of Insistence: A Butch Ballet, a new socially-engaged ensemble dance project exploring butch identity and experience. Their studio research will focus on developing an accessible and adaptable devising framework to share with collaborators for working with butch participants.

Amy Clark And Noa Ferder
Amy & Noa are a Glasgow-based performance duo. Their work is chaotic, yet precise. They use humour and absurdism to take their own experiences out of the personal and into the shared. Amy & Noa will be continuing to develop their performance That’s It. with one gigantic red curtain, two drumkits, and three performers: a ballerina who cannot really dance, a naked woman who is not really naked, and a classical pianist who is actually an epic drummer.
