PERFORMANCE TODAY, PERFORMANCE TOMORROW

ZOOM DISCUSSION EVENT
Thu 27 May 2021
3.30pm (75 mins)

This performance is captioned

ACCESS: This discussion will be live captioned & British Sign Language interpreted.

A group of artists and producers working internationally discuss, from their own perspectives and experiences, what approaches, barriers, real work challenges and strategies there are for international working. Navigating positive actions, potential solutions and shared values in a digital space for learning and sharing, and ask: what is required right now for artists and their communities?

How can we work collaboratively and practise solidarity in this moment that presents us with the Climate Crisis, the current pandemic, a hostile environment, border controls and Brexit. Through discussion, we navigate connectedness, how and where we might meet - when we can’t meet and what organisations can do to support internationally-aspiring and working artists.

For our TMS Discussions things are a little different. We understand we can’t be together in person, but please feel welcome to bring a cuppa or maybe even your lunch along with you. There will be an opportunity to take part in the Q+A as part of this event by submitting a question into the chat - if you need any support with this, or would like to submit a question in advance, please contact us.

Participating speakers: Liz Rosenfeld, Tsehgo Khutsoane, Ayọ̀ Akínwándé, Noa Winter, Fabian Lettow and Jadé Maravala

Hosted by Jack Tan
