Take Me Somewhere: Board of trustees

OPEN CALL FOR TRUSTEES
Take Me Somewhere (SCIO) are looking for up to three professional and inspiring individuals to join our Board of Trustees to aid us in organisational resilience and ambition ensuring we are best equipped to serve the Scottish radical performance sector.

We are looking for a number of committed and motivated individuals who will bring a wealth of experience and skills to the role and help maintain our organisation’s track record of sound strategic, operational and financial oversight. In order to take the organisation forward, the Trustees wish to appoint the following:

  • Up to 3 x Trustees to the Board.  We would like this to include:

    • Professionals with charitable finance and/or HR experience

    • A person with lived experience of disability

    • Artists with an interest in contemporary radical performance

Skills and Experience
Previous Board Experience is not essential. We are particularly keen to receive applications from individuals with experience or knowledge of any of the following areas:

  • Experience of Radical Performance as an artist

  • Accounting/Finance

  • HR Law 

  • Private Philanthropy and/or Sponsorship

  • Creative Learning - Community Working

  • Approaches to the Climate Crisis

We believe that having 1 or more of the following skills or experiences would be beneficial:

  • Innovative thinking

  • Financial knowledge & understanding

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Collaborative team working and/or Leadership skills

  • Data analysis & interpretation

  •  Knowledge of or commitment to Charity Governance

  • Understanding of working with and for particular communities through creativity or third sector endeavours.
